Tiroran House hotel easily adapts to being the bespoke destination on the Isle of Mull and is suitably sized for those who wish to consider making exclusive use of its 11 bedrooms (& 2 bedroom self catering cottage) and private dining. We usually offer a minimum 2 night stay for exclusive usage but please contact us directly regarding your special celebration or family gathering.
SPECIAL EVENTS & RATES
We offer special rates during out of season months (October to March) often linking in to either a gourmet weekend, wildlife spectacular (working with Bryan Rains at www.wildaboutmull.co.uk) walking and climbing excursions, painting tutorials or cookery demonstrations and tutorials as well as photographic workshops, demonstrations and outings.
These events depend upon numbers so please do not hesitate in letting us know if you are interested in any one of the activities mentioned or have an idea of your own. contact us directly for more information or let us know your own ideas so that we can share them with our community to try and bring together a special weekend break tailored to interested and like minded groups and individuals.

Maclean Highland Gathering – The 7th international clan Maclean week will be held on the Isle of Mull from Tuesday June 20th to Sunday June 25th 2017 but please do not let this stop you discovering your roots in 2016 – Tiroran offers a great opportunity to settle your roots just 30 minutes away from your Clan ancestral home, Duart Castle – and we can organise special events and trips for you to retrace the steps of your Maclean ancestors
Mendelssohn on Mull Festival (Staffa) – Next years festival runs form the 29th June 2016 to the 4th July but you can come and stay with us any time and we can organise a special trip for you to visit the Island of Staffa where you will connect with Fingal’s Cave and the famous Hebrides Overture
Tobermory Highland Games – July 21st 2016 – This is an unbelievably popular day out for all of our guests who visit at this time, full of tradition, sentiment and skill, not to be missed by our visitors.
Producers’ Markets – Every weekend on Mull there is a producers’ market which is packed with local produce, homemade delights and artisan or exclusive items to the Isle of Mull – if you would like more details of specific events or locations please just let us know.
The Isle of Mull Rally – 14th – 16th OCTOBER 2016 – you can use Tiroran House as an exclusive destination as either spectator or participator, Tiroran nestles in 56 acres, we can certainly find space for all your spare car parts and people in your group – please contact for more information about this spectacular and world renowned event.
Isle of Mull Yacht Week – The round Mull yacht race is run over a three day weekend every year usually late June or early July, this is a highlight of the West Coast yachting calendar, Boats from all over Scotland and further afield converge and a trip to Tobermory during this atmosphere is not to be missed, keep in touch and let us know if you would like to know 2016 dates.
Cyclosportive– Many guests join us for this increasingly popular Mull sportive which returns annually to the quiet roads of the Isle of Mull this is a small volunteer run cyclosportive organised by Mull Cycle club and all cyclists of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join in, there are 2 (different level) routes on predominantly single track roads circumnavigating our idyllic wild coastline. Entry is £25 with feed and drinks stops and a feast at the end, usually takes place in June so please keep in touch with us for up to date information.
Isle of Mull Triathlon – Sunday 13th September 2016 at 10am
This is a friendly Triathlon aimed at those who would like to challenge themselves or take part as a team. The Triathlon is open for anyone 14yrs and over. There will be a separate event aimed at under 14’s in May next year so watch this space!
