Here are just a few ideas of what to do during your stay with us.
We can organise wildlife and whale watching trips and you can visit Staffa (for puffins and Fingal’s Cave) incorporating the ancient abbey on Iona en route, there are so many great walks (The Burg behind Tiroran leads to the McCulloch’s Fossil Tree) surrounding Tiroran and through the forests where you will spot our resident nesting sea eagles or our otters on the shores.
Tiroran nestles midway between Tobermory to the north and Iona to the south and is under one hour away from both attractions, there are many fantastic beaches on Mull not least Calgary on the north west or Uisken across the loch from Tiroran, Carsaig overlooks the paps of Jura and is another spectacular view from the island.
Tiroran rests at the foot of Benmore and this is the only Munro mountain on the island, we can give you advice about the best way to ascend and Ben Teallach mountain offers a less challenging climb where you might just find the remains of a WW2 dakota
Opportunities to take some of your best wildlife and scenic photographs are guaranteed with whatever you choose to do whilst here on Mull and especially driving along the west coast heading north from Tiroran, we can advise you and guide you in the right directions throughout your stay.
A beautiful 13th century keep location just out of Craignure open from April to October there is a clan Maclean exhibition, large grounds, a tea room and the great hall, all worth the 35 minute drive from Tiroran.

Isle of Mull Cheese
If you visit Tobermory whilst you stay with us this place is not to be missed, beautiful and tranquil and en route to Glengorm Castle, both locations offer great little tea houses and stunning walking, however not to buy the Isle of Mull Cheese whilst visiting our island would surely be a sin as it is stocked in almost every good and great delicatessen including Fortnum & Masons and Harrods.
